How To Make A Fan Fold Flower
I got a couple emails asking how I make the flower that was on my card that I posted yesterday so I thought I would share how I made it...
Supplies you will need are:
12" wide patterned paper
Decorative Edge Punch (I used Martha Stewarts Arch Lattice I believe it is called)
Paper Trimmer
Scor Board
Adhesive
Circle punch or a circle cut with a cricut
Bling or a button
Step 1: Use the decorative border Punch to add a border to the 12" strip of patterned paper. (the finished flower will be twice as wide as your paper strip when finished so cut according to the size you would like.
Step 2: Place Patterned paper on paper trimmer long wise (I cut this strip at 3/4"- including the measurement of the decorative border.
Step 3: Score the strip between each curve ( for example if you use a sclloped decorative edge score between each scallop). Fan Fold at each crease.
Step 4: Join the patterend paper edges with glue or double sided tape.( I used a couple glue dots).
Step 5: Cut out a small base pice of card stock to glue to the flower (i used a circle paper punch). Nobody will see this piece.
Step 6: Adhere the fan folded ring to the base, Pushing flat to create the flower. Hold flower in place until Adhesive is dry.
Step 7: Put a Gem or Button to cover the hole in front.
I hope you have fun making this flower like I did. This is a good way to use up those ugly patterned papers you don't like and will never use on your cards or scrapbook pages. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
